Things Loved Ones Can Do to Help
Offer to: clean house; do yard work; do the laundry; make some meals, breads, cookies that can be frozen and used as needed; read to the children; create tapes to listen to during treatment; record a daily phone progress update message or answer e-mails; get groceries or needed items from the pharmacy; take care of the client's animals, i.e., pet the cat, walk the dog; accompany the client to treatments or doctor appointments and take notes when asked.
Good Gifts
Gift certificates for laundry service, housecleaning, meals, groceries, videos, bath supplies, lotions. Certificate for massage or make-over.
