The Humboldt Community Breast Health Project (HCBHP) is a community resource of support and education for those facing a breast health concern, gynecologic cancer concern, or a diagnosis of breast or gynecologic cancer.

If you’re newly diagnosed with a breast lump, abnormal mammogram or breast cancer … Or if you’re newly diagnosed with gynecologic cancer … Please call us! We want to support you and answer your questions.

Our services include a patient navigation program, support groups, information specialists, warmline volunteers, an extensive resource library, and more. Please call us Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at (707) 825-8345 for a consultation.

Report on Breast Care on North Coast   The Times-Standard article, HSU reporting shortfall for breast care on the North Coast, issued June 19, cites findings from a recently published study about trends in mammography screening based on financial and health insurance coverage. The study was published by HSU's California Center of Rural Policy in a new report titled "Disparities in Screening for Breast Cancer in the Redwood Coast Region."
